Tim Ahern

Ahern's illustrations have been published by Biseisha Press (1982, Kyoto), University of Washington Press (1983, Seattle), S.U. Press (1984, Osaka), and afiPR (2010, Boston), and were regularly featured in the James Joyce Broadsheet (UK) and the Mainichi Daily News (Japan). His adaptation of Finnegans Wake, entitled “17 Improvisations on a Book by James Joyce”, appeared in 2015. He has hiked, climbed and/or kayaked in the Pacific Northwest, Japan, Nepal, Indonesia, Iceland and Greenland, and his adventure writing has been featured in Ascent, Atlantic Coastal Kayaker, and Adventures Northwest (1989 until the present). He was an editor of books on protein biochemistry and a contributor to scientific journals. Ahern currently lives with his wife Molly Flannery in Littleton, Massachusetts.
